Homestead / Meadowfox Email List

The Homestead uses Simplelists to communicate with the neighborhood as a whole. We have two types of lists:

  • One lists provides two way communications and allows residents to post topics and begin discussions. This is the Homestead-Meadowfox listserv.
  • There is a second list called Neighborhood Notices that provides only outbound emails of importance to both communities. Bee Cave Police, Lake Travis Fire, and the City Manager, all have the ability to post important notices to this list. Any replies are not rebroadcast.

To request access to either or both lists, send an email to Email Address with your full name, address, & phone number requesting access.

Please include a picture of a utility bill with your name and Homestead or Meadowfox address for residency verification and security.

Requests with the required image/attachment will receive an invitation to join the list(s)

"What happened to my email?!"

-> Important information regarding the Homestead-Meadowfox listserv:

  • Emails must be under a maximum message size of 15 MegaBytes (MBs). Emails over this limit will not be sent to list recipients. If you are sending attachments, especially images, verify that your image(s) does not exceed 15 MBs. While some mail clients may help with this issue by automatically resizing attached images, e.g. Gmail, others may not. Note that the latest phones with 12 MegaPixel (MP) cameras have default settings that create 2-4 MB images; phones with 24 MP cameras are typically around 6-8 MB, by default. There are various ways to resize images prior to attaching to your emails, including using the Photos app in Windows 11 (Resize image, e.g. 50%). You may want to save copies of your original images and attach those, instead of overwriting your full-sized images.
  • Emails must be sent from the registered Simplelists email account. For example, if you have registered with Simplelists using your Gmail email account, but also have another email account through your ISP, do not attempt to send emails to the listserv from your ISP email account -- they will not be relayed to listserv members.
