The Homestead and Meadow Fox communities lie behind a low water crossing that occasionally floods during wet years.  During flooding, many vehicles with higher clearance have driven through the water up to 1 foot on the flood gauge, however it is always best to turn around and wait when the crossing is flooded and police barricades are not yet present.

The City of Bee Cave installed a warning system at the low water crossing and current live status can be found at The Bee Cave Wet Map. It is an interactive site where you can get rainfall info, flow rate, water level, and even warning system status.
